From regulation to opportunity
With new EU regulations such as the Digital Product Passport (DPP), the need for structured, reliable product data has never been greater. Outdated tools like spreadsheets and PDFs can’t keep up. Ovido, a Helsinki-based software company, was founded to help manufacturers and brands take control of their product data, from traceability to compliance, in one AI-powered platform. By automating and centralising this work, they give even SMEs access to enterprise-grade insights. Kuudes was brought in to set the foundation for the new global brand.
Simplicity for the non-technical audience
Most supply chain data management tools target large enterprises and tech-savvy data analysts. But to truly change the industry, Ovido needed to win over the smaller players, such as the yarn and textile manufacturers, many of whom have little digitalisation experience.
Our approach was to shape a brand that breathes radical simplicity and approachability, making complex compliance processes accessible and unintimidating. The name Ovido reflects this: a wordplay on the Finnish “Ovi” (door) and “ID”, symbolising a welcoming entry point for stakeholders to access, share, and manage product data with ease.

What we did & why
Kuudes distilled the client’s thorough strategic groundwork into a brand with a sharp spearhead. We defined the key pillars, brand promise, brand story, key messages, and brand narrative, and created a visual and verbal identity that communicates confidence, openness, and clarity.
We also delivered a comprehensive digital styleguide, website design direction, and landing page to ensure the brand could be executed consistently across channels and markets. The outcome is a clear and confident brand that reflects Ovido’s vision of empowering better choices through product transparency and supports their mission to make managing product data as simple and accessible as possible for every manufacturer and brand.

Since the brand launch, Ovido has closed a €2.4M seed round with investors including Lifeline Ventures and Kvanted, and already secured customers such as Kiilto, North Outdoor, Makia, and North Sails. The strong brand foundation has given Ovido the credibility and clarity needed to approach global markets with confidence — and to speak directly to the decision-makers who need them most.
