Interplay of opposites

Formconcrete is a new, patented technique for shaping concrete while being cast. Usable for pre-cast element industry, the technique offers the opportunity to signature concrete facades and structures through three dimensional forms and surface textures. To appeal to the more artistic side of architecture and construction, a new identity was required.

The design is inspired by the tension between the fluid and the solid. It aims to reveal the gentler and more poetic side of concrete – as opposed to its usual hard and industrial associations. Repetition is a recurring theme in the identity, as pre-cast elements are used in this way. The sensitive embossing used in the printed materials is a representation of the actual concrete casting technique.
