Bold and powerful

One of the biggest energy companies in the Nordics, Pohjolan Voima, celebrated their 75th anniversary in 2018. To tell their inspiring story – from securing the operation of the forest industry in the 1940s to tackling climate change with clean energy in the present day – Kuudes joined forces with them to create a visual identity for their jubilee.

Energy is an abstract concept, but the identity brings it to a tactile form. You want to touch it and feel it. Inspired by electric cords, copper wires and rubber insulation, the identity is clean and modern with powerful contrasts. Details with the intensive, even shocking, electric-blue colour bring a contemporary flair to the elegant identity. Also, the logo refers to electricity: the number 5 is a reshuffled on off icon – creating a hidden treat that only the most eagle-eyed will see.
